How PureBox gives you time back — without moving anything without your approval.
Connect Gmail. See a Smart Sample in about 60 seconds. Review once. Apply. Repeat automatically.
The Three Tracks
Every email in your inbox lands in one of three tracks. You always review before anything moves.
Messages that need your reply or a decision.
e.g. “A colleague asking about a deadline.”
Useful but not urgent - read later or reference.
e.g. “A receipt from an online purchase.”
Noise you never needed to see.
e.g. “A promo from a store you visited once.”

How We Calculate Time Saved
Transparency is core to PureBox. Here's exactly how every number is derived.
Three numbers, three meanings
| Label | What it measures | Where it appears |
|---|---|---|
| Estimated time cost | Projected minutes your inbox would take to process manually | Pre-apply surfaces. Always labeled estimated. |
| Reclaimable time | Minutes queued up in suggestions you haven't applied yet | Review screens, cleanup queue. |
| Reclaimed time | Minutes confirmed by your approved actions | History, dashboard totals. Never estimated. |
Per-email defaults
| Action | Per-email default | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Read a low-value newsletter and archive | 15s | Skim, decide, archive |
| Unsubscribe and delete a promo | 30s | Open, find unsubscribe, confirm |
| Sort and label a receipt | 20s | Skim, label, file |
| Decide whether an update needs reply | 45s | Read, context-switch, decide |
Worked examples
Example A - First scan
Scan covers 847 emails → 312 Trash (promos), 198 Archive (newsletters), 27 Attention. At our defaults: 312 × 30s + 198 × 15s + 27 × 45s = 3h 10m. The Smart Sample shows this as ~3h estimated. One-click approval records ~3h reclaimed on History.
Example B - Ongoing
~180 new emails classified automatically in a typical week → one batch approval ≈ 45 min saved, ~3 hours / month with a single review.
Honesty notes
Every forward-looking number is labeled estimated or projected. Reclaimed totals only count actions you actually approved. We don't count time “saved” for emails you would have ignored anyway - if an email arrived, stayed unread, and we sent it to Trash, the time cost we attribute is the cleanup cost, not reading time.
Safety Model
Four principles that keep you in control at every step.
Review before apply
Nothing moves until you approve it. Every suggestion includes a reason.
Reversible
Trash = 30 days in Gmail. Archive is always retrievable. Labels can be removed.
Minimal permissions
Gmail API only - no browser extension, no full Google account access.
Revocable
Disconnect anytime from Google settings. We delete your data on revocation.
